(# 8) LIGHTLIGHTLIGHT Earned good figures with in-the-money finishes in her first three starts of the season, two of them stakes. In each instance she finished close behind the very talented Warrior Maid. Her mid-pack finish on the grass last time was decent, but she is much better on dirt. Asmussen has always done well here with the turf to dirt move. Very hard to beat at a short price. (# 1) LIL RICK’S GAL Just blew away a field of basement maiden claimers, an effort that was strengthened when the filly that finished 11 lengths back in 2nd came back to win her next start. Asmussen apparently found the key with this filly and she could be dangerous at a square price. (# 7) HAZEL GROVE Was a neck behind the top pick when she finished 4th in the LA Lassie, her first start against winners. She was also close against some fast fillies in her two subsequent starts. She was virtually eased last time in a failed turf experiment. Contender once again for Ducoing and Torres. (# 3) AKIANE Returns off a long layoff for a trainer who can have them ready. Trainer Glen Delahoussaye having a HUGE meet with a limited number of starters.
