(# 1) SHROUD Claimed from her debut for $25,000 by Cody Autrey. In her first for Autrey she made a menacing 4-wide middle move but faded in the lane. She is well drawn on the rail today and will definitely appreciate the class drop. Shot at the upset for top connections. (# 9) TRUE BLUE EYES Stalked the pace from the outside and held on for a distant 4th against tougher. She had Shroud behind her at the wire. That was her best race yet and a much improved work on Feb. 27 bodes well for even better. In light with apprentice Dugas back aboard. (# 3) BEAR’S MARIE Appeared to have a soft field at her mercy last time but finished a distant 3rd at 1-5 odds. Asmussen was hoping for a claim and she was taken by Chad Pitzer. She seems to be going the wrong way and now has a trainer who is winless at the meet. Still, one of her good efforts beats these easily. (# 10) GYPSY CAB COMPANY Malibu Moon filly brought just $5500 as a 2yo but has shown speed in her drills. Carl Bowman has positive stats with first timers and this filly debuts off a near-bullet half mile breeze from the gate. Certainly does not have much to beat here. Jacinto will ride. (# 7) HYPER HANNAH Cuts back to a sprint which I feel she prefers. Gets a big rider change from bug boy to Hernandez.
