RACE FOUR OBSERVATIONS by The Wizard on Saturday, March 14, 2009

9-5 second choice OMNISCIENT chased between horses until easing out widest into the stretch. Strong steady rally to get the lead at the 1/16th pole and edge clear as much the best. NORTHERN PRINCE rated nicely in 4th along the rail. Angled out in mid stretch and wore down the favorite AU MOON late for 2nd. Au Moon middled moved into a lively pace to challenge for lead on the turn. Battled gamely along the rail through the stretch, but no match for the winner and then outfinished for 2nd. No excuse for FIERCE THUNDER who loomed widest into the turn. Flattened out badly from there.
