*** RACE THREE ANALYSIS ***
by The Wizard on Saturday, March 21, 2009
(# 10) JUST CUSH Leestown colt is a half to Cush, one of the starters of the meet. Has been working steadily since November with several bullets on his work tab. On Jan. 30 he looked good breezing 3F in :35 flat from the gate. He enters off a strong 5F move on March 8. Andy Leggio has had a tough meet but he is good with first timers and there is not much to beat here. (# 3) FIREFROMTHEBAYOU Son of Mutakddim is bred for the grass. In his bebut he finished a very decent 4th against MSW colts over this course. His subsequent two tries on dirt were not as sharp. Think he will run another good one with this class drop and switch back to turf. Lanerie is one of the better turf jocks. (# 6) PRODUCTION Grandson of Saint Ballado with some turf in his bloodlines has been well prepared for his debut by Bret Calhoun. Although he has not been asked for speed he debuts off a nice 3F breeze from the gate. Calhoun is always dangerous with a first timer in maiden claiming company. (# 7) SHIPPING DE TRICKY Son of Tricky debuts for Bernie Flint who wins with 16% of his first timers. Works are modest but evenly spaced and he has been in steady training for a long time. Not particularly well bred for the turf, but neither are many of the others. (# 5) DAVY'S PRODUCTION Improvement expected cutting back in distance, back on grass and a drop into maiden claimers for the 1st time. Has tactical speed.
