7-2 winner AFTERNOON GIRL shot right out to the lead from post 1. Fought off several challenges throughout and held gamely over FAST CITY GIRL who ran a big race in 2 turn debut. Broke sharp but was content to take back and race in mid pack. Made a strong wide middle move to loom entering the stretch then continued willingly to the wire. MY HOMETOWN GAL finished well too late after sitting a perfect inside out trip. The rest of the field showed little in a VERY SLOW RACE.
