(11) JAZZ IN THE PARK - With the pace from the start, raced wide into the stretch, finished well while on the extreme outside and wore down the leaders in the final yards. (2) DESERT WHEAT - Badly outrun, closed from far back to loom a danger in the stretch and finished well for the place PICK SIX - Well off the pace, closed gamely between runners in the stretch and was outfinished between in final yards while getting the show. (1) WHY TONTO - set a slow, but pressured pace along the inside, held well until midstretch, and then tired to finish fourth without any real excuse. (8) GENTLEMAN CHESTER - Stalked the slow fractions set by Why Tonto, continued on well into the stretch but weakened under pressure.
