(3) GLENWOOD CANYON - Reserved off the early pace, angled off the inside around the far turn, made a strong bid for the lead in stretch and then proved best late while drawing clear. (1) NORTHERN PRINCE - Alternated on the lead from the inside from the start, held well while disputing for the lead into the stretch, but ultimately was no match for the winner while clearly second best. (2) A. U. MINER - Badly outrun early, improved his position while outside of runners around the far turn, but had no punch in the stretch. (6) BROTHER KEITH - Hopped into the air at the break. Raced widest around the clubhouse turn, continued wide down backstretch and then proceeded to move inside and outlast the others. (5) ZIEGFELD - Raced within striking distance of the lead down the backstretch, raced forwardly until the far turn and then steadily dropped back.
