Another overbet favorite goes down in flames. 6-1 returnee QUEEN OF FLOWERS, rated well along the rail in third, and ready to pounce at the top of the stretch. Wore down the 4-5 chalk in the late stages. Great job by trainer Kirby, to get this one ready off a long layoff. His 2nd win on the day. MY COUSIN PEPI sat a perfect stalking trip outside cheap speed. Took over top of the stretch, but could not hold off winner late. Top two much the best of the rest.
