(6) CHAMBERLAIN BRIDGE -TONS THE BEST!! (THE WIZARD'S PICK OF THE DAY) Away a bit awkwardly, raced lethargically as well early on. Taking a position in the second flight today, he responded readily upon entering the stretch when set down by Gomez. He finished determinedly while shadowed by (7) CANNONBALL, outgaming that rival to the finish in a very sharp effort. (7) CANNONBALL - coming from off-the-pace as well, rallied in tandem with the winner around the turn. He loomed dangerously in deep stretch, and as is his habit, failed to punch it in when it counted most. (2) SMART ENOUGH - away alertly, dropped back shortly thereafter. He moved to challenge for the lead leaving the far turn, skimmed the hedge into the stretch to gain a daylight lead, but showed a bit of rustiness in deep stretch to relinquish the lead and finished. (9) JAZZ NATION - shook clear shortly after the start to gain the lead, was displaced on the front end in upper stretch and then had no late response.
