(5) LUV GOV - Moved up along the inside down the backstretch, and continued to save ground around the far turn. He was then angled to the outside for a stretch bid, collared the leader past midstretch and then drove clear. (7) GOLD BREW - Improved his position approaching the far turn, easily disposed of the frontrunner in upper to gain a daylight lead, but could not repel the winner’s late bid. (9) BIG FLIRT - Gained ground around the far turn, was maneuvered to the inside for a stretch bid, and lacked the necessary late response while managing to hold on to the show. (6) Prospective Love - Outrun early on, lost valuable ground while attempting to around the far turn and into the stretch, was one-paced late and finished fourth. (2) EAGLE POISE - hesitated at the start, and then was bumped shortly thereafter. He raced at the back-of-the-pack and never made his presence felt. (8) Gold Schleiger - Carved out all the pace until early stretch, and then succumbed badly once displaced on the front end.
