RACE TWO OBSERVATIONS
by The Wizard on Saturday, May 02, 2009
(4) RILEY TUCKER - Was immediately sent to the lead and carved out a very comfortable pace. He was under a rating hold by Gomez while well within himself, and drew spurted away from the field to win by a huge daylight. *** Two races thus, two wire-to-wire winners by huge margins. *** (3) HEAVENLY CHORUS - Stalked the winner’s pace from the outset, continued on well into the stretch, but was unable to quicken when called, holding on well to save the place. (7) MAJOR PLEASURE made a ground along the rail in stretch, closing belatedly to take down the show. The rest of the field appeared to race without incident.
