RACE TWELVE TRIP NOTES
Monsterous day for ET Baird, who scores his 5th win, 3 in stakes, on today's program. Guided the 4-1 winner JUST AS WELL to victory, rallying wide through the stretch. Edged clear from a blanket finish behind him as GENTLEMAN CHESTER, COSMONAUT and MY HAPPINESS, ran 2-3-4 respectively. COSMONAUT may have been best, but was hung out wide all the way from his tough outside post.
THE PACE
There is not a lot of speed in here, so the pace figures to be a moderate one which could hurt the closers. Look for horses who can get good tactical position early. No horse in here should be anything less than 7-2.
RACE TWELVE
# 9 JUST AS WELL (7-2), # 12 COSMONAUT (3-1) and # 13 THABAZIMBI (4-1) are the choices, but all 3 are a bit overbet. Outside posts going 1 1/4 miles at Arlington is not too bad, but nevertheless they will be wide early on.
RACE TWELVE
The Arlington Handicap is a prep for the Arlington Million to be run in August. This is a very competitive race and the board tells you with the favorite at 3-1. These are the lower rung of the better distance turf runners in the US, and none of these will win the Million. All 12 horses look very good.
HORSES TO WATCH, FINAL TRACK BIAS AND OTHER INFORMATION FOLLOWING THE LAST RACE
RACE ELEVEN TRIP NOTES
E T Baird, Arlington's top rider, scores his 4th win, 2 in stakes, on today's program, with a superb ride aboard 8-1 upsetter YANKEE INJUNUITY, who just outgammed the 6-5 favroite CHAMBERLIN BRIDGE in the shadow of the wire. Got the blazing pace he needed. Sat on the inside early. Swung out at the top of the lane, to run down Chamberlin, who broke sharp, then was taken back to chase quitting speed. Took the lead at the top of the stretch and continued on gamely to the wire. Never fails to fire a big shot! Both those two were tons best of the rest.
RACE ELEVEN PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All 7 horses look good. # 2 continues to be the favorite at even money.
RACE ELEVEN
# 2 CHAMBERLIN BRIDGE opened up the 3-5 favorite with # 6 ST. JOE the clear 2nd choice. Chamberlin deserves to be the chalk, and if he runs his race, he will be very tough to beat. He spots weight to all, but won his last 2 starts toting 124 Lbs.
RACE TEN TRIP NOTES
Great race with DEE'S ROSE just nosing out TALETOBETOLD at the wire. Those two were tooth and nail right from the start with no one else closing. Dee's enjoyed the cut back in distance for the red hot Dale Bennett barn who is winning at a tremendous 38 % this meet. Always keep your eyes out for that barn!

RACE TEN PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS AND BETTING
The board continues to be wide open in a very competive race. All 8 runners look very good.
RACE TEN
Wide open board with # 4 NICKS the lukewarm favorite over 3 horses who are all 4-1. Very competitive race.
RACE NINE TRIP NOTES
8-5 favorite ROMACACA give rider Baird his 3rd winner on the day and 2nd winner for the Miller/Calabrese combo. Took the lead from the start and never looked back in a strong performance. OCULUNA chased thast one from the start and held well for 3rd, only to get run down in ther final strides by TALE OF THE SOUTH.
SUPERFECTA PLAY OF THE DAY
Available Wednesday through Sunday at only $5.00. Can you imagine a 10 cent play paying off at $462.00. Pays for a lot of Superfecta Play Of The Day sheet available only at brisnet.com
RACE NINE BETTING ACTION
# 7 ROMACACA is now the clear favorite at 2-1. Appears the main speed, but I feel she is overbet as a result of the high winning % of trainer Miller and his owner Calabrese.
THE WIZARD'S SUPERFECTA PLAY OF THE DAY SCORES BIG
Longshot Crystal Ball selection keys my Dime Superfecta Play, race 8 at Arlington Park on Saturday. This is a great wagering race for the $.10 superfecta bet. INDEED IT WAS. Sheet gives out $462.92 payoff for a dime!!!

HERE WAS MY WRITE UP AND WAGERING STRATEGIES

Arlington Park Superfecta Race #8 (4:38 PM ET)

#5 EIGHTONINE BELL (Race 8) 3 yo Mizzen Mast filly ran well sprinting on the turf at the Fairgrounds beginning her career there at the end of last year. Scored her maiden win when adding blinkers and after a break has turned in two solid efforts still sprinting on grass. Following her last start in May was moved to the barn of trainer Tom Amoss who does a excellent job with new acquisitions hitting nearly 30% first out and is also a very positive barn change. This filly has been training extremely well here at Arlington and looking for her to win her local debut here today and first on a synthetic surface. Presence of Razo only added plus as is the added ground. Longshot keys dime super in a great betting race.

RACE NINE PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All 8 horses look very good. # 1 and # 7 continue to vie for favoritism
RACE NINE
The first off 4 stakes races. # 1 ROMIN ROBIN and # 7 ROMACACA are the clear favorites at 2-1 and 5-2 in a very competitive race.
LATE PICK 4
Race nine begins the all stakes late Pick 4.
RACE EIGHT TRIP NOTES
Big improvement for 6-1 winner EIGHTONINE BELL, who was making her first start for trainer Tom Amoss. Showed good early speed to rush to the lead. Was challenged in earnest by the 5-2 favorite MY NEW LADY approaching the stretch. Easily held off that rival late. Both were much the best to a spread out field. ADDED DELIGHT closed best late racing widest for third.
RACE EIGHT PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All 12 horses look good. # # 8 BLUE HAZE DAY removes front bandages today. Wore them in her debut but that was for her prior trainer at Canterbury. The board continues to be wide open with the lukewarm 4-1 favorite breaking from the far outside in a field of 12.
RACE EIGHT
As wide open a board at the open that you will see with the favorite # 12 at 5-1.
RACE SEVEN TRIP NOTES
5-1 upset winner REB closed from dead last to nail pacesetter NO INFLATION right on the wire. This is a steadily improving 3 year old No Inflation broke sharp then vied for the front with VAQUERO for the lead, who broke slow and was forced to rush up. The pace was a moderate one with Inflation assuming command into the far turn. Continued to hold the lead into the stretch, then faced intense pressure. Very game to the wire. Odds on favorite GIANT OAK was place fourth on the disqaulification of third place finisher OIL MAN who was closing widest. Inside the 1/16th pole, he came in sharply impeding both GIANT OAK and PROCEED BEE. Oak took the worst of it. He was rallying at that point, and would have been much closer at the wire and may have won, but it is difficult to say.
RACE SEVEN PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
# 1 DAKOTA GYPSY was announced a s gelding, but that is no change from his last 2 starts off the layoff. He was gelded following his November 27th race last year. All 7 horses look very good. # 7 VAQUERO figures to go right to the front with # 5 NO INFLATION stalking. GIANT OAK will be closing late from well off the pace and must overcome the expected slow pace. Should be able to accomplished the task, but 1-2 odds seems a bit low to me.
PICK 6 BEGINS
Race seven starts the Pick 6, where there is a $21,376 carryover.
GIANT OAK
No doubt that he is very dangerous in here, but at 1-5, he must overcome what looks to be a race with a lack of early speed, and an expected slow pace, which could hinder Giant Oaks late kick.
MID DAY BIAS UPDATE THRU 6 RACES
There is no bias on the polytrack or the grass course through six races.
RACE SEVEN
Giant Oak figures to be the odds on favorite. He opened up at 1-5 odds. Has the looks of a horse who should relish the added distance of this second stakes race on the program. The board as expected is well spread out behind the favorite.
RACE SIX TRIP NOTES
Top 2 favorites run 1-2. 5-2 winner CAPT. BULLET BOB followed the rally just behind EXECUTIVE COACH, who got the jump on him, just nailing him at the wire. Subtle trouble for OFFICER LEX who steadied in traffic twice along the rail. Came up empty in tyhe final 1/8th, but with the trouble and not enjoying racing on the fence throughout. He had a legitimate excuse. Watch similar spot, but breaking outside of horses.
RACE SIX BETTING ACTION
# 1 and # 8 continue to be taking the money at 5-2 and 3-1. I feel they are both a bit overbet.
RACE SIX PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All eight horses look good. # 8 EXECUTIVE COACH gets front bandages back on. Both career wins with the fronts so it is not a negative.
RACE SIX
# 6 CAPT. BULLET BOB and # 8 EXECUTIVE COACH are the clear favorites in all poolsBoth vae good tactical speed and should sit good trips behind what appears to be a contested lively pace.
RACE FIVE TRIP NOTES
4-5 favorite PURE CLAN did not dissapoint, with an authoritative win closing from off the pace. Powerful strides and a fast final 1/16th of a mile, to easily draw clear from pacesetter TIZAQUEENA, who was very game in holding off the 2-1 second choice DYNA FORCE who had no excuse.

RACE FIVE PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
This is the first of six stakes races. All 6 horses look very good. # 1 continues to be the 3-5 favorite. Clearly the horse to beat, but is way overbet.
RACE FIVE
# 1 PURE CLAN opened up at 1-9 odds and has drifted up 2-5. Rediculous price. Price horses after that.
RACE FOUR TRIP NOTES
2nd straight win for rider Baird, guiding 9-1 upset winner SEDONA BELLE, closing from off the pace rallying wide. Had a clean trip throughout. Both Party Of Eight and ALLY'S LITTLE SIS, closed for 2nd and 3rd, both with clear journeys. Favorite MEGAWATTIE broke sharp then taken back along the inside. Had run through the lane, but was stymied in traffic in deep stretch losing all chance.
RACE FOUR PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All 10 horses look good. 1 entry and # 5 continue to be the favorites with the entry the 2-1 choice.
RACE FOUR
Wide open board on the open, with the 1 entry and # 5 vieing for favoritism at 7-2. The rest of the fields odds are well spread out. Both those horses are the clear cut favorites in all exotic wagers.
RACE THREE TRIP NOTES
3-2 favorite BIG RUSHLET, took command from the start but was quickly challenged by ALPHA CAPO. Those two battled tooth and nail from the turn to mid stretch, with BIG RUSHLET drawing clear with authority and holding on gamely over SUB FUTZ, who closed willingly on the outside to be a clear 2nd. Tough trip for ONE LUCKY DEVIL, who broke slowly and was forced to be hard used chasing wide throughout. Moved to challenge at the top of the stretch. Never stopped trying, until inside the 1 1/6th pole, when he simply ran out of gas. Prefers to race up closer to the pace. BIG RED RANGER forced the pace along the inside entering the turn. Taken back off dueling leaders, then made a second move in the stretch to just nose out Devil while racing on the rail throughout.
RACE THREE BETTING ACTION
# 2 BIG RUSHLET and # 6 ONE LUCKY DEVIL, continue to vie for favoritism at 9-5 at 2-1.
RACE THREE PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All 6 horses look very good.
RACE THREE
Wide open board with 2 horses at 2-1 and the highest price 4-1.
RACE TWO TRIP NOTES
FLEET ACE quickly took the lead opening up a big margin. Held to mid stretch, then faltered badly, as 8-1 winner METRO SYSTEM blew on by on the outside with new gelding CARTS LAST DANCE closing up the rail. Those two hit the wire, with Metro eaking out a nose decision. Both much the best of the rest as the favorite LITTLE MAC ATTACK had to settle for a well beaten third.
RACE TWO PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS AND BETTING ACTION
# 3 CARTS LAST DANCE is a new gelding. All 7 horses look good. # 2 continues to take all the money at 9-5. I cannot figure out way. Type of horse I will play against, especially at that price.
RACE TWO
With 16 minutes to go, the # 2 TILLMAN HALL, is the heavy 8-5 favorite. At this point he is way overbet. Figures to drift up. The rest are well spread out in the betting.
RACE ONE TRIP NOTES
3-5 favorite SHAKE N QUAKE did not dissapoint, with a sharp front running victory. Was clearly best. SWEET LEMON CHELLO, who was the only 1st timer to take money, especially early on, only to drift up to 6-1 late, raced on the rail all the way. Continued willingly late to snatch 2nd from the chaser KEL'S DREAMER. Should imporove going longer, as she is bred much better for distance and the grass.
MORE BETTING ACTION RACE ONE
# 6 is the clear favorite at 4-5 with 4 minutes to go. # 3 is drifting up a bit. The rest are not taking much money.
RACE ONE PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All horses look good. # 6, the betting favorite at 6-5, wears front bandages again for her 2nd start. 1st timer # 3 continues to be bet at 5-2. None of the other 1sters taking that much money.
RACE ONE
6 two year olds lined up for this 4 1/2 f dash. Three of the five are firsters with only # 3 SWEET LEMON CHELLO taking money. 6-1 on the morning line, with 26 minutes to post, she is the 9-5 second choice. The favorite is # 6, SHAKE N QUAKE at 6-5, and deservingly so.
