FINAL BIAS REPORT, HORSES TO WATCH AND OTHER INFO
There was a strong speed bias in sprints, and lesser so in routes on the polytrack. No bias on the grass.

HORSES TO WATCH:

RACE 4: FAR EAST

RACE 8: EMPTY HANDED

RACE TEN TRIP NOTES
No excuse for the overbet even money favorite CLASSIC ACTRESS, who cleared easily and set a slow pace. Was challenged in earnest at the top of the stretch by LIL CORA TEE. Put that one away and looked a sure winner until 15-1 winner KAYLA DO was able to work her way off the rail in deep stretch and nailed Classic on the wire. As I mentioned, Classic was a bit vulnerable at the distance, but certainly the one that looked the most dangerous to wire these.
RACE TEN PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All 10 horses look good, especially the # 4, who is the clear cut 2-1 favorite.
THE WIZARD'S PICK OF THE DAY SCORES!
My Pick Of The Day scores in today's 3rd race at Arlington. 6-5 winner RUN FOR IT, scores and "key"s a $67.60 exacta with # 6 for 4 UNITS!! Here was my write up.

Pick of the Day:# 1 RUN FOR IT 3yo filly has run very well in both career starts, including a sharp 1/2 length loss in her debut as she was still finishing strong at the wire after overcoming a tough trip. Last out she dueled through very fast fractions for the level but held well to hold the show spot. She may have bled some as she returns with Lasix for trainer Donnie Von Hemel, who is a 20% winner in these maiden special weight races. El Prado filly is the first foal out of the stakes winning mare See How She Runs and she is well suited to this tricky 7 furlong distance. Top rider Hamilton is back aboard, and she sports two works since that last start. Looks best in a weak field.

Wagering Strategy:Play # 1 RUN FOR IT to WIN. Four unit exacta partwheel with 2, 3, 5, 6. Reverse for one and a half units.

FINAL TRACK BIAS, HORSES TO WATCH AND OTHER INFO FOLLOWING TRIP NOTES FOR RACE TEN
BETTING ACTION
# 4 who is 4-1 with 15 minutes to post will drop down even more in price as she is the big favorite in all pools. Look for around 5-2 to 3-1 at best.
RACE TEN
Wide open board in a very competitive finale. The favorite is # 4 at 9-2 odds. A horses trip will determine the outcome of this race as there are several who do their best running from off the pace. There is not much speed in here so expect # 4 CLASSIC ACTRESS to take the lead and try to slow down the pace. If she can, there is a good chance to wire this field. The main question is if she can hold tough at a distance which is a bit further than what she wants.
RACE NINE TRIP NOTES
The 4-5 favorite C.S. SILK, proved that she is now destined for even weaker foes than these off a dismal performance. Rated well setting a comfortable pace. Had no resistance when challenged in earnest in mid stretch. She is 1 for 1 on grass and that is where I would keep her, because 2 turns on dirt or poly is no longer her game. HOT CHA CHA sat a perfect trip. Took narrow lead at the 1/8th p0le and looked a sure winner, but was outgammed late by 8-1 winner PEACH BREW, who received a perfectly time ride by Hamilton to get up nearing the wire. This was the second of 2 uncoupled horses for trainer Von Hemel who also sent out ALWAYS IN MY HEART, who chased the pace in 2nd then faltered badly at the top of the stretch in a dismal effort. Longshot SWEET AND FLAWLESS almost upset the field and just fell short at the wire.
RACE NINE PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All 6 horses look good. 1 and 2 continue to take all the money with #1 drifting up a bit and # 2 coming down in in price.
RACE NINE
# 1 C.S. SILK opened up as the 1-5 favorite. This is an absurd price on a horse who has not improved very much from her 2 year old campaign. She is the most likely winner as the speed from the rail, but at that price, it's hard to take in any type of wagers. # 2 HOT CHA CHA is certainly no slouch having run consistently good in several graded stakes. She has had rough trips in her last 3 starts. With her inside post and tactical speed, she could pose a major threat to the favorite. Cha Cha is 4-1 against 1-5, but it's much closer in the exotics, so look for Silk to drift up in price. # 3 ALWAYS IN MY HEART is an improving filly who ran big in her last start off the trainer change and 1st start at Arlington. Certainly could pose a major threat to the top 2 at a big price. # 5 PERFECT FOR YOU has no real early speed and has yet to go 2 turns which are both negatives. # 6 PEACH BREW is winless in 6 starts this year and does face tougher. # 7 SWEET AND FLAWLESS has a tough outside post and faces tougher than what she has been meeting.
RACE EIGHT TRIP NOTES
Horses who were making their grass debut, run 1-2. 3-1 winner GRIZZLED ROBERT stalked the pace set by SPECTACULAR KID. Joined that one to his outside at the top of the stretch, put that one away, and had enough left to hold off the late charge of longshot EMPTY HANDED, who closed boldly from well off the pace after saving ground and tipping out wide in mid stretch. Solid turf debut.
RACE EIGHT PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All 7 horses look ok.
RACE EIGHT
Another wide open grass event with the # 7 BLUE WHISPER, opening up the 2-1 favorite despite never having run over the grass. # 4, 5 and 7 are all making the turf debut. The favorite # 7 is in sharp and improving form. Because of her tactical speed he must be respected, but he has more of a dirt pedigree than grass. GRIZZLED ROBERT is also making turf debut and has a similar running style as the # 7, as both are in good form as well. EMPTY HANDED is the third horse who is making grass debut and does have a little turf pedigree on her dam side. # 1 is the inside speed but will face intense pressure in the stretch. 1 for 9 lifetime. # 2 BREAKING NEWS is consistent but is 1-14 lifetime which is a negative.# 8 DOCTOR BRASH has good turf form, but must overcome an outside post. # 9 COOL C NOTE gets blinkers off, but also breaks outside which hurts. Likes this course and has some tactical speed.
RACE SEVEN TRIP NOTES
8-5 winner ABBY'S ANGEL sat a perfect inside-out trip. Steady run through the stretch to wear down the 2 pacesetters inside the 1/16th pole. Clearly on the improve. Good efforts by the 2 speed horses, DAZZLE DARLIN and SUMMER FLIGHT, who were both aided by the prevailing speed bias. ROSE PRINCESS closed late for third, but benefitted by the hotly contested pace.
RACE SEVEN PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All nine horses look good. Rider change on # 9 MISSY BISCUIT to James Graham. Karlsson is off her mounts.
MID DAY BIAS UPDATE
There is clearly a strong speed inside bias on the polytrack today through six races.
RACE SEVEN
The start of the late Pick 4.

Wide open 7 furlong race with the # 1 the clear cut favorite. The odds of the other 8 horses are all well spread out. The # 1 ABBY'S ANGEL has room for improvement off a game win at this distance off a layoff, but must overcome a tough rail post. # 3 DAZZLE DARLIN is expected to improve in 3rd start off a layoff. Lost all chance when she stumbled in last. Game win 2 back. at 6-1 certainly worth a look. # 4 ROSE PRINCESS makes 2nd start off a layoff following a solid 2nd last out, but has only 1 win in 2 years and 0-7 over this course. ? mark on # 5 MORAKAMI who has never raced on polytrack. 5-2 on the morning line, she is icy at 6-1. # 6 KIMBO is in good formk but must travel beyond 6 fur for the 1st time. # 7, # 8 and # 9, have never raced at 7 furlongs which is a big ? mark. In a wide open race, I would not be surprised if an upset occurs with the # 1 overbet at 2-1 with 14 minutes to go.
RACE SIX TRIP NOTES
Lone speed is always dangerous and the result was a front running win by the 2-1 favorite SPOTSGONE, who shot right to the front. Great speed rider Baird slowed down the pace and that was good enough to hold off chaser SEBATIAN COUNTY, who tried his best to run down the front runner, but the slow fractions hurt his chances late. No one could close as a result of the fractions.
BETTING ACTION RACE SIX
The 1 entry and # 2 are the co-favorites at 5-2. Both are very equally bet in the exotics with the 1 entry the slight favorite.
RACE SIX PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All seven horses look very good.

.
RACE SIX
Another wide open race with # 2 SPOTSGONE opening up the 9-5 favorite which is too short a price. The trainer has not hit the board in six starts at the meet. The one big positive about his chances is that he looks to be the controlling speed on a track which is playing kind to front runners. All the rest are horses who must rally from off the pace, so the fractions will play a major role to the outcome of this race.
RACE FIVE TRIP NOTES
Very gritty debut for the heavily bet 1st timer RICHIESGOTGAME who scores at 3-2 odds as the favorite. Broke a step slow, then rushed up to set a pressured pace on the rail. Continued to be pestered on the far turn, then was challenged in ernest by 1st timer TIZ MIZ SUE who chased in third between horses to the top of the stretch. Hooked the winner in mid stretch and both fought tooth and nail right to the wire. 2nd betting choice TOOL TIME GIRL sat a perfect trip and was a no threat 3rd.
BETTING ACTION RACE FIVE
1st timer # 1 continues to take a lot of money and is the 9-5 favorite over # 9 who is 2-1.
RACE FIVE PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
# 3 STORMIN BON adds lasix for debut which is not indicated in the PP's. 1st timers # 4 and # 8 are wearing front bandages for their debut. This is a big negative. All other horses look good.
RACE FIVE
Another wide open maiden special for 2 year olds going 5f. 1st timer # 1 RICHIESGIRLGOTGAME is the clear cut choice at 5-2 with 15 minutes to post, but is the 2nd choice in all other exotics. She is being bet as a result of her fast works at strong speed pedigree. Needs to break alertly to overcome a tough rail post. 8 other horses are 1st timers which makes this race tricky. # 9 TOOL TIME GIRL, comes off a solid 3rd in her debut and at 9-2 with 13 minutes to go, the price is attractive, but her odds figures to drop.
RACE FOUR TRIP NOTES
Euro import MONA LISA, scores at 7-2 for new connections. Rallied strongly from well back to outfinish the favorite PARI close to the wire. Pari moved before the winner, but could not outkick that one. Longshot FAR EAST, making her turf debut, held very well setting a pressured pace throughout. Could be very tough next out if she is the controlling speed.
RACE FOUR PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All 8 horses look good physically. # 7 MONA LISA was very fractious in the paddock and is still acting up a bit in the warmups. # 6 is the heavy favorite at 9-5. Certainly can win, but is way overbet.
RACE FOUR
Wide open grass race as several have a similar off the pace running styles where trip will make the differance. The wild card is # 7 MONA LISA, who makes her 1st start for high profile connections off the private purchase from overseas. 1st time lasix can certainly move her foward for a trainer who excells with new aquisitions. # 5, # 6 and # 7, taking all the money in a contentious race.
RACE THREE TRIP NOTES
6-5 favorite RUN FOR IT, was fractious in the gate. Broke slow, then was rushed up to chase along the rail. Swung out at the top of the stretch, and was under a stiff drive to run down the longshot pacesetter NOSTALGIC, who improved in her second start. The final 1/8th of a mile was slow, so I would downgrade the chances of those who could not close well behind the top two the next time any of those run.
WARM UPS
Returnee # 2 CAPE KAROO, is warming up very well. At 13-1, I will be throwing her into my exotics.
RACE THREE PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
# 3 HIGH ON TOP, adds front bandages for the first time off the layoff. Big negative and I am not using her because of this. The rest look good.
# 1 RUN FOR IT
Continues to be the heavy favorite at even money. Because of her rail draw going 7 fur, it would probably be wise for her jock to get her to the lead and try to wire these. Front runners have won the first two races, so that running style would benefit her.
RACE THREE
Obvious big favorite in # 1 RUN FOR IT, who deserves to be, but at even money with 20 minutes to go, the price is too low. May drift up. Certainly the one to beat against a weak field, but must overcome an inside post stretching out to 7 furlongs for the first time. Adds lasix which is a plus after bleeding in last start as the 8-5 favorite. The odds on all the rest are 9-2 and higher. Not much in form seperating these, which makes the exotic wagers a tricky one. Might like to consider a Pick 3, Keying the # 1.
RACE TWO TRIP NOTES
7-1 winner CALLMESOMETHIN, wired a weak field off a layoff. If there was anyone of substance in back of her, she would have lost, because she was staggering from mid stretch racing on her wrong lead. The 7-2 second choice MY DRAMA QUEEN had every chance to run that one down through the stretch, but had no punch. The 2-1 favorite JADED EDGE was awful. Showed speed early but steadily dropped back entering the turn and pulled up sore. LOOK TO BET AGAINST ALL THESE WITH A STRANGER THE NEXT TIME THEY RUN BACK.
RACE TWO PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
This race starts the early Pick 4. 1st timer # 1 has front bandages for her debut which is a huge negative. The 7-2 favorite # 3, returns off a layoff wearing fronts for the 1st time. That's enough for me to bet against her. All the rest I see no problems in appearance.
RACE TWO
Very wide open State Bred bottom level maiden claimers. The board illustrates this with the favorite, # 3, the 7-2 favorite. There is 2 first time starts, # 1 and #10, both who are dead on the board. # 3, # 8 and # 12, make their 1st starts at this level, a strong angle for improvement. Another race to proceed with caution.
RACE ONE TRIP NOTES
7-2 winner TWIN BUTTES showed good speed from the start. Put away the stalker on the turn, drew clear, and was all out late to hold off the heavy favorite NICK'S GIRL, who broke awkwardly and was last early. Sustained a good wide rally through the stretch to be a fast closing 2nd, but ran out of ground. I did not like her stride, while never changing leads in the lane. Was claimed, and will be a bet against for me next time out.
RACE ONE PADDOCK OBSERVATIONS
All 8 horses look good. # 2 continues to be the clear cut favorite at 8-5. The rest of the field are well spread out in the odds.
RACE ONE
Lot's of question marks in this race. # 2 NICK'S GIRL, figures to be the heavy favorite, just because of high % trainer Catalano. Difficult to determine if the sharp drop in class in her 2nd start off the claim is a big red flag, or to cash an easy bet. Several other suspicious drop downs: # 1, # 3 # 4 and # 7. Proceed with caution. If you wager, I would cut your bets down in a very tricky opener.
