# 6 ELEGANT KITTEN cut out a quick pace after disposing of a hopeless longshot on the far turn. Got leg wary late which enabled 6-1 upset winner KICKIN AND SCREAMIN to split horses late, took lead in deep stretch and held off the late run of WILDWOOD ELLA in a game effort.

# 5 TRIGGER FISH LANE is the overwhelming 8-5 favorite and even though he is in a good spot, I feel he is overbet on a track favoring speed. # 6 ELEGANT KITTEN wired several of these in last start, but is being overlooked at 9-1 despite having speed. Her success is based on her getting the lead early and there is a question of that. # 3 FAITH OF ANGELS is in ok form but she must overcome a speed bias.

Three horse duel early with longshot PEINTURE FRAICHE taking command entering the second turn. opened up a huge lead on the backstretch, but had to work hard to do so. The pace was quick so there was no way she could hold on. Several horses swept on by approaching the stretch with longshot CAVEN THUNDER assuming command. She looked a sure winner in deep stretch, but Alvarado was able to steer the 7-5 winner LEMONETTE to the outside and ran down Caven late with a well timed ride. Alvarado wins his 3rd race on the card.

1 1/2 miles on grass with # 4 LEMONETTE the 7-2 2nd choice but the clear favorite in Pick 3's. The chalk on the open is # 1 BALLYNOE at 2-1. The rest are well spread out in the betting. Both are well spotted, but like many of the rest, question marks about their ability to gets the distance effectively. Of these two, Lemonette is clearly more proven at longer distances. # 6 WOODFORD GIRL looks like she should handle distance. 30-1 morning line PEINTURE FRAICHE, is down to 9-1 with 11 minutes to go, and certainly will be on the pace.

Alvarado scores his 2nd win on the card with a very gritty win by a nose over DUMBLEDORE as the 2-1 favorite. Had to run down a horse who rode the speed inside bias to near victory. Solid effort from HARIOULUS, who was forced to sustain a wide rally from well back against the bias. Strong speed favoring tracks clearly exists.

The # 9 STRIKE IMPACT is the clear cut favorite at 5-2. A bit overbet as he must overcome an outside post. The board is well spread out after that one. Only 1 horse the # 3, is higher than 10-1.

Another wide open race with 2 co-favorites at 7-2. Not one horse is over 9-1. The # 3 SUDDENLY SILVER appears the dominant speed. His last 2 races off the layoff have been just fair. Should improve with bias.# 1 MOYER'S POND, # 2 DUMBLEDORE, # 5 BEST BUDDY and # 9 STRIKE IMPACT all have some early speed with Strike Impact the most likely to e stalking # 3 from his outside post.

Excellant call by the stewards to leave the finish the way it ended up. 3-1 winner OMEGA CAT received great ride by Alvarado who was in tight along the fence from the 1/8th pole to nearing the wire. She got clear yards from the wire to run down the sharp pacesetter longshot QUEEN OF VICTORY

Talk about a wide open grass race. The favorite is # 2 OMEGA CAT at 7-2 with 2 other horses, # 7 and #12 at 4-1. The # 12 is the favorite in the Pick 3's. # 2 should sit a good trip from the rail. ? mark on # 4 cutting back to a mile. May prefer more distance but is sharp. # 7 has one turf race, but that was sprinting. # 1 is steadily imrpving and at 14-1 is a must use for me. # 10 is sharp, handles a mile, but does draw a tough outside post. You can also make a case for others in a very competitive race.

As a result of the strong tail wind on the backstretch, another front runner on the rail scores at 10-1. TIMELESS MISS involved in a cut throat speed bias, put away another dueler and still had plenty left to hold off the overbet favorite in GOLDEN TREE, who had to close from well back with a perfect trip along the rail.

Through 5 races, there has been 4 ploy races, and all 4 were won by front runners. With a tail wind on the backstretch, it clearly has an affect on the speed favoring track. Until that bias changes, I would give a closer look at the speed in the upcoming poly races.

The # 1 GOLDEN TREE is way overbet at 7-5 breaking from the rail. She has speed and top trainer, but could be compromised from her post. # 3 DIVINE WISHadds blinkers which could help her speed. # 4 KATHLEEN L, # 5 PRETTY SLIC CHICK and # 8 TIMELESS MISS, all have early lick. Very difficult race as it is hard to determine who will get the lead soon after the after the start.

Great ride by Hamilton rationing out the speed of 6-1 winner EXCHANGING KISSES who wired the field from the rail. Solid effort from TIGHT SPOT who was forced to overcome his tough outside post (12) going a mile. Closed with the favorite FREE FIGHTER, and just got his nose in front to get 2nd.

Extremly wide open grass race with7 of the 12 horses between 5-1 and 6-1. Trips going a mile will make all the differance. # 1 EXCHANGING KISSES and # 9 MR. MISCHIEF are the speeds. Most of the others like to sit in mid pack or further off the pace before making their late run.

Speed once again reigns supreme with 11-1 upset winner TWIST, taking the lead from the start, put away SENSATIONALGOLD, drew off and held well late racing on the rail throughout. LEXI'S BAY and HOME FRIES, cluncked up for 2nd and third, showing no real punch late.

Speed has been good, so if # 6 SENSATIONAL GOLD can handle the switch back to dirt, she could be tough. # 3 TWIST could put some pressure on her early. If the speed back up late, there are several in here who have show the ability to close, like # 2 # 4 # 5# 8, who all have shown a bit hang in them in deep stretchEven though # 6 is 5-1 with 19 minutes to go, she is the slight favorite in doubles and Pick 3's.

Anxious moments for the odds on winner THATS WHATSHESAID who broke awkwardly, then was forced to moved off quickly to chase along the inside. Was blocked behind a 6 horse wall of horses. Tried to move to the rail, but it closed in mid stretch. Sanchez had to wait until angling out at the 1/8th pole to go after 5-1 second choice SWEET LEMON CHELLO, who looked a winner as the chalk lugged in late, but was straightened, and then ran right by late. Overcame a very tough trip.

Huge favorite at 2-5 odds with # 4 THATS WHATSHESAID. Derservingly so, but that is too short a price. The reason for the low odds is that the 5 horses who are first time starters are totally dead on the board. The only other horses taking some money are the # 3 and $10, who have already run, but both their races were nothing special, wheras the favorite exits a solid race.

Huge win by 6-1 N.Y. Wise Guy who a knew would get into a vicious duel, and I expected him to tire. He did not, overcoming a battle for the lead from the start to the 1/8th pole. Drew clear and was tons the best. 8-5 favorite FORT APACHE was taken too far off the pace, closing late without threatening the winner. The track could be speed favoring.

is the inside speed but faces a lot of pace pressure to his outside.

#5 FORT APACHE

4 yo colt has been productive for trainer Bret Calhoun finishing in the money half of his 14 trips to post while facing quality company. Has made only two starts in condition claiming races winning one by seven lengths at Churchill this summer and a game third at same track last out at a distance that was a bit too short for this colt. Finished out of the money in his only other start on a synthetic surface but it was also facing a tough allowance group at Keeneland this spring but certainly ran well enough to handle today with much softer field. The added 1/2 furlong of today's race is a plus and will have a favorable pace scenario making this colt the choice to find the winner's circle at a career low tag with Razo in the irons.


# 2 RISKAVEE

Showed ability last fall hitting the board in 4 straight with 2 wins before going on the shelf off the claim. Little on his return this winter but has regrouped and has been sizzling over this strip in a.m.Capable with Bridgmohan up.

# 6 BRUCE CARL *** NEW GELDING ***

3 yo colt has shown huge improvement over this strip since shipping from Florida posting back to back wins by 12 lengths combined. Claimed last out by Mike Reavis and although takes significant raise and meets other speed can't ignore.

6-1 winner TEEN, ducked in sharply leaving the gate impeding FIFE'S FEVER, foricng that one to check sharply and then TOUCH APPEAL and A RENOIR were bumped as well. Teen was able to clear easily and wire the field. Touch chased on the rail all the way and wore down Renoir late for 2nd. No reason the stewards should not have put up an inquiry to look at the start of the race.

Was favored in debut, but lost rider at the start losing all chance. She's the wild card dropping down in class for very sharp connections.

# 3 A RENOIR

3 yo filly has been consistent hitting the board in 5 of 6 including game 3rd turning back to a sprint in first try over the main strip here last out. Returns at same tag today and the pick with Thornton up.

# 4 GO HOOTS GO

4 yo turned in even efforts in first two career starts as a 3yo facing strong msw company at the Fairgrounds. Away 18 months but Stidham can have ready and can't ignore with the big class drop here.

# 8 OPEN AND CLOSED

Finished third at today's same conditions returning from the layoff in only her second career start. Followed with solid effort on the turf last out with msw company and with return to previous conditions today is a threat.
